Date: August 25, 2017 Location: Grants Pass, Oregon Was shocked to find out a one-topping pizza went up to $6, unless ordering a pepperoni which makes little sense unless pepperoni costs so much less than mushrooms. I am guessing to maintain their advertised special, the $5 would apply only to the pepperoni and cheese options. The excuse was that the minimum wage went up which means all those on fixed income loses as well as all those out of work, not to mention jobs will get cut from the wage increase and moreover, those getting the wage increase may end up seeing their housing costs go up as the wealthy landlords may want to recoup the inflation affecting them. It's a boondoggle yet again as our politicians are too ignorant to understand the underlying problem is the cost of living, particularly housing, so we should focus on lowering housing expenses. I show how it could be accomplished on http://proposedsolutions.blogspot.com/. Ordered a pizza ahead of time and ended up waiting 10 minutes. After paying, the cashier looked in a warmer and said it wasn't yet ready. Was surprised it wasn't ready once showed up. More time went by and it was clear there had to be some screw-up and so upon greater insistence of where the pizza was, it was discovered to be in a different warmer than the cashier thought it would have been in. This is still very minor to the bigger problem yet still noteworthy to mention. In the image below you will see how little cheese was used. I was extremely hungry after working all day and not eating (note the unnecessary wait time endured) and so I ate all but two pieces in the vehicles so this is not a case of cheese sliding from being not level. I am not sure if a little more sauce was used or it was just from the lack of cheese used that brought out more of the sauce taste. It was very disappointing. Do you think there is an adequate amount of mushrooms? Instead of cheaping out and raising prices, the quality could be kept constant and the owners could take a small hit. Big deal if their yearly salary goes from $100k down to $80K. The wealth divide is destroying both society and the economy. I will not say I will boycott Little Caesar's entirely, but may reduce buying to once a year or so. I may end up in a semi-desperate situation so I won't make a concrete stance of boycotting, besides, if the company decides to conduct a special offer or to return back to how they were only weeks earlier, I could return being a loyal customer. I made a website showing my comparison with Little Caesar’s and Papa John’s at pizza comparison.blogspot.com and I sided with Little Caesar’s as having a better value. Now, I feel Little Caesar’s offers no extra value considering the cheaping out and price increase, unless Papa John’s is also doing something similar but I have no intention of going there to find out. With the Federal Reserve taking away bank interest and unlawfully manipulating up the stock market, financially responsible persons who heavily relied on bank interest then with immense knowledge of stock valuations and were not fooled by the false economic stats put out by government to then short sold the bloated stock market on value (presently it’s 4X overpriced), many like myself have been unjustly forced to lose. Thus, going to a restaurant is a hardship. Little Caesar’s was on the short list of restaurants not of exorbitant prices relative to the price of ingredients but now that has changed. Until something changes for the better, I can make my own pizzas, and in fact three for the price of one bought at Little Caesar’s. When that ratio is 2 or less, I feel it’s justified to go to a restaurant but beyond that, I say it’s time to boycott. If all else did the same, we’d have much fewer restaurants and those that exists still would be more affordable - and one factor help making this happen would be the excessive commercial property we have now (relative to long ago) would be in great supply from vacancies so that rents would drop to then positively feed back into lower prices. Society would improve. As things work now with so little boycotting, the wealth divide increases more rapidly and that hurts society. photo phot 016_zpshpwrc3r0.jpg
